Leave the adhesive on 3-5 days. It’s water resistant but not waterproof. You can shower with it on but no submerging in water for two weeks. This means no baths, swimming and also sweating.   Fine line needs more care because there is less ink in the skin and we’ve seen it happen where people have sweat out their tattoos. So being diligent for the first two weeks is very important.

 

  Most people don’t have a bad reaction to the adhesive but if you start to notice redness around it I would take it off immediately because it can affect the healing of the tattoo.When you do take the adhesive off I suggest doing it in the shower because it is skin tight. Take off one corner and pulling it is the best way to remove, do not rip it off.

 

  Once you do take it off use an antibacterial soap to clean the tattoo, Dial has one that works great. Make sure to keep the tattoo moisturized, I love using natural oils. coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oil work great. If you do get something else make sure there is no petroleum jelly or alcohol in the ingredients. 

 

  NO AQUAPHOR OR VASELINE, these were designed to dry out your skin and fade the tattoo. When moisturizing the tattoo, very thin layers around 3 times day. You get a free touch within a year after getting your tattoo. Please put in your calendar and send me a healed photo a month from the tattoo.

   

  Fine line are more prone to needing touch ups. Sending me the photo lets me know if you need one but also helps me grow and be a better tatttoo artist. You’re good to use sunscreen in two weeks and two I suggest are  eltamd sunscreen and la roche posay.
